DESCRIPTION

Nearly hidden in a residential area, the Barking Dog is a secret worth discovering. Its beer list is almost too good to be true — a rotating selection of regional and Belgian beers that favors taste over popularity — and the staff knows each one intimately enough to tell you exactly what to expect.

The kitchen turns out highly respectable sandwiches and entrees (a breakfast menu is served on weekends), and those bottles of top-shelf scotch aren't there for just for looks.

A big fan of the Barking Dog5

As far as friendly, cozy, neighborhood places go, the Barking Dog has figured out the formula - good food, great beer, nice wine selections at decent prices. The new owners have turned this place into a very comfortable atmosphere and every time my wife and I have been in, they have made us feel like family. A great addition to Seattle's dining/bar scene.

Super Overpriced. Greasy, slapped together food. Different beers than on the menu??? Too loud to hear a thing. No parking, Indegestion inducing food. No love for the food. The best thing was the neat floor with inlayed logo. Seriously, I don't expect much anyways, but a raw burger with brown lettuce got me sick. Go to the 74th Street Alehouse on Phinny Ridge. It just feels happier and healthier.
