We LOVE SFHD!
Posted by theview on 02/04/2009
We couldn't be more happy with SFHD. There are reasons they have a near two year waiting list for daycare. We know how hard it is to understand one dog, let alone several at once! Tiffany & Robert have been wonderful with our dog Rex; the environment and care, which includes discipline, have helped grow our guy into a mature and wonderful dog. He comes home tired (a tired dog is a happy owner!) They "get" animal husbandry and beyond many human's popular belief, dogs do run a close second to humans. They pick up & drop off in our area. What other business does that?! Thanks guys!!

Mixed, but won't be going back

We used SFHD for several years but stopped after poor customer service from Tiffany. Although Robert who does pickups and dropoffs always reported good things about our dog, when we emailed to reserve a weekend, Tiffany responded that our dog had a history of behavior issues. Up until that point, we had great experiences with SFHD. When asked why we were never told before about behavior issues or why we don't see this behavior at dog parks, Tiffany was defensive and rude. We were very disappointed with the sudden change in attitude, especially since our dog seemed to enjoy going.

I Wish I was a SFHD Dog!!!

There is no way in this limited space to convey the greatness of SFHD!!!!! So I'll give two examples. I've been a client of theirs nearly from the beginning. The owners and staff are extremely conscientious in their care of my dog Bayou, whom I rescued in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. I was going to New Orleans at my own expense and SFHD boarded my beloved Golden Retriever Kramer at no charge to me. 8 months later, when Bayou was finally free of every kind of worm/parasite imaginable, Kramer was diagnosed with bone cancer. They took such good care of him (and me) durning that time. They were Kramer's extended family, especially one staff member whom Kramer adopted as his surrogate mother. Kramer was so attached to her that she even let him stay with her on her lunch breaks. Everyone at SFHD shared my sorrow when Kramer passed.
