DESCRIPTION

Its youthfully throbbing bar scene and thick Alhambra/dungeon atmosphere would not appear to bode well for the food at this Lower Queen Anne restaurant, but look deeper. Though the usual suspects are available - great chips, tasty green-chile enchiladas and margaritas - they do not alone characterize the menu, which roams from seafood to sandwiches to a few dishes that fuse Latin-Asian cuisines. A happy surprise, if you can stand the loud music, big-screen TVs and exposed navels. Open for breakfast (weekends), lunch and dinner.

Service leaves something to be desired4

Upon a few ventures to Pesos I've found the same experience: Good food, good drinks, good & fun bartenders, terrible waitstaff. I'm sorry if I was interupting their busy social life by wanting to order, or even PAY. Unless you're a hot guy, good luck getting their attention. To top that, once, upon receiving a minimal tip, but still A TIP, a waitress returned (amazingly quick) asking 'Um, did I do something wrong?' My friend shot me a cautioning look to prevent my smart-mouth from going off, while my eyes blinked widely in amazement. I'm sorry princess, I work hard for my money, you didn't. (That's what I felt like saying.) I'll go, and have been, back. It's a fun place to go with friends. But only if you're up to dealing with the barbie-clones, frat-boys and less-than-impressive (no matter what they seem to think of themselves) waitstaff. :)
