DESCRIPTION

The People's Pub serves German beers and bratwurst mit sauerkraut, but more importantly, it has a full bar in the back of the house — one of Ballard's best. The crowd that frequents it is a perfect mix of working stiffs and girls in bobbed hairdos and baby-T's. And strangely enough, the two often interact. I've seen hipster girls buying drinks for crusty old fishermen, and fishermen settling down to play one of the children's board games from the Peoples' fine selection. It's paradise — Ballard's own Camp David. Of course, the booze helps.
