There are several reasons to love Noc Noc. The DJs — resident and imported — assemble terrific goth, drum-and-bass, hip-hop and synthpop mixes. The cover charge rarely goes above $5 (if there's a cover charge at all, which oftentimes there isn't). There are drink specials aplenty, including 50 cent Pabst Blue Ribbons on Tuesdays (25 cents on Sundays), and one of Seattle's best nightly happy hours: It's just a dollar for well drinks and that staple of every collegiate diet, PBR, from 5-9 p.m. daily.

But the best reason to love this club is because, unlike many others, it seems to love you back. The staff is friendly, the dance floor is spacious, and the prevailing attitude is one of blissful laissez-faire. All are welcome here, regardless of whatever lifestyle or wardrobe choices you've made along the line, so just come as you are. Everyone else does.
