DESCRIPTION

Every town needs an upscale discotheque. Such establishments concentrate all the local eye candy into a one-stop candy shop, keep up-and-coming DJs advised on what the big boys in London and Amsterdam are spinning, and provide a familiar harbor for Paris Hilton, should she choose to visit.

Seattle has Club Medusa to serve these needs, and it delivers on every front. You'll see some of Seattle's most attractive (and probably least accessible) young men and women hanging out here, striking poses and examining each other hungrily. Touring DJs? Medusa is a regular stop for the world's top DJ talent, hosting the likes of Judge Jules, Junior Sanchez, DJ Keoki and George Acosta. And Medusa's lounge booths and private VIP room can be made ready for Paris' ensemble by simply reserving them through the club's Web site (non-heiresses can do this, too).

Drink and door specials are frequent, most of which favor women, but there's an occasional concession to the boys, if they arrive at the club early enough. Truth of the matter is, if you're in the club's target demographic (if you are, you'll know), Club Medusa will fulfill most of your nightlife needs and desires.

THEY MAKE YOU WAIT IN LINE AFTER SMOKING A CIGARETTE1
Posted by not_happy on 10/16/2006
Paid $15 cover to get inside, found the place overcrowded with even more vapid, plastic posers than you'd find at a normal club. You know the type -- snooty people who think they're hot stuff, but couldn't count their own fingers. Stepped outside to have a ciggy and get away from the suffocation (ironic, I know); tried to go back in the door I came out of only to find it locked from the inside. Showed the bouncer my stamp and he directed me to the back of a huge line to get in (remember, I had ALREADY waited in line AND paid $15 cover). I said "That's **** ridiculous!" and would have just left, but friends were still inside. Got to front of line and they kicked me out for "causing a problem." Never going back. Avoid this club if you have any real taste.
