For beautifully made quality sweaters and knits at below wholesale prices, this Pioneer Square outlet is a real find. Almost everything in this pleasant, light-filled location is manufactured in Peru from alpaca wool, wool blends and pima cottons. About 90 percent of the inventory is women's clothing. Designs include simple and timeless styles as well as classics with subtle updated details. Some pieces feature hand embroidery by small Peruvian cottage industries commissioned by owner Cristina Dioguardi.

The shop is full of current- and past-season samples and production pieces that may have experienced minor design changes, but not seconds or flawed merchandise. You'll find piles of neatly folded sweaters, some skirts, pants, coats, wraps, scarves and other accessories in a wide variety of hand-loomed and hand-knit heavy and fine gauge knits. Occasionally Dioguardi will carry samples and closeouts from other manufacturers such as T-shirts or tapestry coats. All sales are final.

Tip: Get on the mailing list for spring and fall clearance sales, when prices dip even more.
