DESCRIPTION
This eclectic shop in West Seattle offers much more than the name indicates. Along with fabulous reupholstered furniture — especially revived vintage pieces — they carry home accents including serving pieces and lamps, jewelry, handbags, new clothing, and carefully chosen pre-owned pieces (some with the original tags).

Great place, mislocated

I loved this place when it was on Avalon Way. It's still a great place -- but it moved to Pioneer Square several months ago. Makes me wonder if other places listed are still around.

50's retro!!

If you have never been, put it on the top of your must do list. Murphys is the #1 for upholstered pieces if your looking for "mod"; "retro" or just something really different from everyone else! For me personally it's Helen! I am always amazed at the quality of her goods. She carries an outstanding selection of vintage suit jackets(in perfect condition!) skirts, blouses,vintage sweaters, SHOES you wouldn't believe, vintage hats! Purses that you won't find anywhere else.And jewelry, some vintage, some by local artists. I get all my work jackets there and the MOST I've spent is $20.00,( that is not a misprint) I'm probably blowing it by letting the word out, but I couldn't contain myself!!!
