Golden Oldies is something of a hidden gem. Not too far from Dick's in Wallingford, this small, humble shop buys and sells records -- the kind made of vinyl -- as well as CDs and tapes, those quaint vestiges of the pre-digital age. The owner is friendly and tremendously knowledgeable, and it's a joy to browse. You'll find things you never knew existed, and things you haven't thought about since the late '70s. Also, the store's Web site includes a list of chicken-themed songs, which just confirms how wonderful Golden Oldies really is.
