Was better,

GI Joes used to be our one stop shop for outdoor stuff. They carried a good selection of outdoor stuff. They were also a great spot for shoes. Recently however they were bought by a San Fransico outfit and the service has changed a lot. The store is messier and disorganized, and it seems like there are fewer employees. It's too bad they have let it slip because it used to be one of our favorite places to shop. Another item of interest is that upon acquisition, they felt they should change the name from GI Joes to just Joes. A dumb decision no doubt politically motivated by the new owners, at least that's the impression my veteran friends came to. I decided no longer to shop there as REI has better help and nicer stores anyway.
