DESCRIPTION

In its mission statement, 8 Limbs acknowledges "that each individual is unique and approaches life in a different way." This approach is key to teaching yoga, which the studio has been doing in three Seattle locations for over a decade. Even if you don't know Downward Dog from Tree Pose, in other words, you're not only welcome -- you're liable to feel downright comfortable.

Meanwhile, you'll find everything you need for your yoga practice in the fully stocked boutique adjacent to the studio.

8 Limbs carries a wide selection of brands, including Marika, Lululemon, Prana, and Jack and Ginger, a cotton Lycra line with detailed graphics and jewels. "The clothes feel like butter; they're so comfortable but they're fitted and substantial," says boutique manager Kristin Welch.

Also available are ecosensitive clothing and props, such as apparel with organic cotton, PVC-free yoga mats by Harmony, and City Lights yoga wear, which is dyed in an eco-friendly manner.

Tip: 8 Limbs usually has a few deep wicker baskets filled with sale-price merchandise.
