DESCRIPTION
The Gary Manuel Aveda Institute trains “future professionals” in the business of beauty and began offering a full range of hair, skin, waxing and cosmetic services in March, 2005. As these aspiring hair stylists and estheticians learn their trade, they need to practice their skills on real people with real hair and skin, who get deeply discounted prices. Who can pass up a haircut for $12 or facial for $35?

Great experience

Love this school. Yes, it is new but is on track to be one of the best. I have been to the "Euro" many times and it is becoming increasingly pathetic. Noticed a lot of arguing among students and a lot of unhappy faces. I will stay with GMAI instead. SpaJunkie

My friend, a GMAI student, tells me that she wishes she had gone to another school because her teacher is inexperienced, and has never worked in a spa. She is stuck at GMAI under contract but enourages other potential students to just go to the EURO for Esthetics. Hair at GMAI is fabulous. Cosmo teachers are great!!!

I have been to several other schools in Seattle for services, and this place is by far my favorite. And you can't beat the prices! I have had a facial, brow wax and two haircuts. From a friendly reception, to market spice tea, to excellent work - I love this place! Patience is always needed with students, but if they aren't quite getting it, the instructor takes over and finishes to perfection! I love it and recomment it!
