DESCRIPTION
Unlike the soft, fuzzy plant, this subterranean shop is sleek and modern, something that you'd find in SoHo rather than your grandmother's garden, which is no accident, of course.
The boutique's modern look was made-to-measure by designer Jason Faulkner—principal of Society Co. design studio—yet another upstart in the Ballard-Fremont community niche. The unidentified or mutable objects encasing the cave inspired walls is among the more intriguing design concepts. Faulkner and shop owner Angie Sorensen thus encourage shoppers to "question their surroundings."
Other architectural features include angular references from the entirety of the compact space to the poplar wood shoe fitting benches. Simple black shelves and gray concrete floors starkly contrast the textured concrete walls, painted a bright white. It's the perfect backdrop to focus on the artistic display of chic shoes and larger-than-life leather bags.
For all the shop's sleek austerity, Sorensen exudes a warm and welcoming enthusiasm. This is the kind of store you go to for an experience—and a special shoe selection. You'll find attractive woven leather flats from Corso Como ($115), summery Devotte sandals ($251), and butter-soft Loeffler Randall wedge-heeled, leather boots come in white, beige and black ($649). Nothing screams sexy louder than the Marcello Toshi sandals in charcoal leather and red suede, complete with seductive ankle strap ($352). The delicious Anna Corinna "It" bags range from $363 to $550, but they look like a million bucks. Lamb’s Ear Shoes also carries a small but diverse selection of locally designed Kimberly Baker Jewelry.

I write a blog about successful business strategies and have recently posted an article about Lambs Ear. I really enjoy shopping at Lamb's Ear and chatting with Angie. My favorite purchase though is jewelry by Arielle de Pinto, I receive compliments all the time! http://www.thecompanylineblog.com

Worth every penny I splurged on a pair of italian heels that have people asking me "where did you get those?"
