Edie's is unfussy and inviting with its airy, whitewashed showroom and purple velvet couch. The shoes and boots here are practical, fun and futuristic, from lines such as Camper, Diesel and MOD - and okay, there's an occasional high-rise sandal from Aquatalia. Rumor has it that Camper is cutting down on who gets to sell its shoes, and Edie's will be one of the few Seattle stores deemed "acceptable."

While you won't find a whole lot of accessories here, there are some thoughtfully chosen handbags. Look for an inventive line made from woven seatbelt webbing.

Tip: What you see is what you get. If you like something, don't wait to come back and get it, because there are no special orders and once it's gone, it's gone.
