DESCRIPTION

Though it's recently made the jump into selling housewares and furniture with the rest of the urban-boutique gang, Panache's bread and butter is still fairly disposable club clothing that's as at home in Miami or Los Angeles as it would be in, well, Miami or Los Angeles. Forget Northwest casual, this is style that goes well with deep tans and warm nights on the town; looks that steps out of rented limos and street-suped import cars.

With daily sidewalk sales and never-ending markdowns waiting inside, the racks are a bargain for men and women seeking fashion with an extra bit of flair. From jeans and dress pants to ribbed shirts, "cut-off" vests, strappy dresses and midriff tanks, it's a safe bet you can walk off with a piece of Panache's bold colors, prints and sleek, shiny blacks for less than $50.

Men's lines lean towards the self-assured, while women's range from frilly innocence to bedroom guarantees. Pushing a heavy Latin-influence through clothing as well as the outdoor speakers cranked up for all of Broadway to hear, Panache is the place when flashy looks mean more than labels.

Special call-out to the catering and food industry workers: Though you may have written them off for years, make sure to check Panache when Value Village and the usual thrifts don't have your black and whites.
