In 1927, a family from Tuscany began what would be a long, rich tradition of fine leather handbags and shoes. The legacy continues today (though shoes are now made in the same factory as Prada) in a clean, airy shop on Pike Street, where select footwear, bags and jewelry wait patiently for good homes. Good, solid basics come in neutrals and surprising hues, such as butterscotch, baby blue and pink. Lines are lovely and simple - a leather clutch takes a long, sleek silhouette, for example, and a pair of stiletto sandals earns an aristocratic air with a thick strap at the ankle and toe.

Shopping here is best done when you check your sense of control at the door: The store is designed so that staff can guide you through options sequestered in drawers throughout the store.
