DESCRIPTION

At Fremont's Dream boutique, it's all about flirty details. Look for beaded sweaters, pants embroidered with flowers, and skirts that shimmer in the right light. It's the more sophisticated version of Bliss, its trendy sister store located across the street. Owner Neil Silverman takes pride that both stores offer a hip selection of denim, but at Dream you’ll find items you can wear to the office too.

Clothes come in luxurious fabrics like linen, velvet and silk, but luxury doesn't come cheap. A plum-colored velvet blazer by Milly is marked at $378, and handmade jeans for women by hipster brand People for Peace ring it at more than $300. Guys can pick up jeans by James and Gold Sign in the newly added men's line, which also includes zip-up sweaters and jackets by French Connection. The look is casual, but the store plans to add slacks and dress shirts that men can wear to work or out to an upscale restaurant. If it's as classy as the women’s selection, then it should be successful.

Women can find clothes they feel professional and girly in at the same time. Browse through velvet and corduroy jackets by French Connection ($148) and splurge on an Italian leather handbag handmade by Tano. For a night out, slip into a silky green halter dresses by BCBG ($248), and then head to the jewelry case. Dream carries a variety of semi-precious stones from California designer Thoi Vo. Her selection of earrings and necklaces made from Indian rubies ranges in price from $150 to $350. Or try on a white gold bracelet by Rebekah Brooks ($300).
