DESCRIPTION
Once upon a time, people who lived in Fremont and other parts of north Seattle had to trek very long distances and brave snarls of traffic to get to the malls and downtown if they wanted to even peek at a cute pair of shoes. And then one day in the summer of 2001, their prince, Frankie, arrived. And the people were happy, for finally they could find hip, good quality shoes in this slip of a store with tomato ceilings and lime-hued walls. They reveled in sandals and boots and casual shoes from Camper, Mosquito, Fornarina, Diesel, Franco Sarto and BCBG. They cried sweet tears of joy when they realized that they didn't need to go anywhere else for essential and/or fun hosiery. They sang "hallelujah" when they realized that all the prices were reasonable. And they lived happily ever after.
Tip: Check racks in the back of the store for great deals on off-season shoes (come on, it's not against the law to wear ankle boots in a Northwest summer).

I've had my Fornarina slides for a good couple of years now (and they are holding really good.) The price was so awesome I thought they were going out of business, but it seems Frankie's is still doing great. What an awesome little shoe store. Every time I'm in Fremont I have to go check them out.
