DESCRIPTION
OK, imagine if the show "Friends" took place in Seattle and the women had their own salon in their apartment. That's pretty much what Frenchy's is like, all fun and girly and hip. Frenchy's is a veritable institution known for its pedicures and manicures (there are seven different types to choose from). Cheerful green walls encourage a vibrancy echoed in the very social hub, where women of all demographics come to have their toes and fingers done. But there's life beyond the tootsies. In 2002, Frenchy's expanded and revamped their body-treatment rooms, which are aside from the hubbub of the nail parlor. There's also a full line of beauty products for virtually every part of you, and if you'd like to come in for a wedding makeup consultation, there's a gift bag in it for you crammed with samples and girly goodies.
TIP: This isn't the kind of place that you can just waltz into unannounced. Frenchy's is booked at least two and a half weeks in advance, and on weekends, up to two months in advance. Plan accordingly.

Horrible- don't do it!
Posted by sara on 09/05/2007
Horrible, horrible, horrible! Don't do it. Save your time and money and go someplace else. Don't believe what all the fashion magazines are telling you--they must be getting paid to brag. I have spent better money at strip mall mani/pedi places. Go to Gene juarez if you want a good mani/pedi. The nail polish has peeled off after less than a week, the girls are bitchy and rude, they rush you in and out, they smudge your polish and don't fix it, they don't have great products--OPI is so out!!! And they are chattering about in other languages so you have no clue what is going on. Inattentive, rude, crappy product and customer service! Seriously, I have been in the beauty/cosmetics industry for several years and this place is a joke. Don't do it!"

not worth the time or money. DIRTY!!
Posted by finesse206 on 07/21/2007
This place is awful!! The salespeople are really rude and pushy and never stop calling you, even if you tell them not to. It's dirty and the service takes forever - if you can even call it service. The women even talk about you, other clients, and each other behind their backs - but they do it so loud that you can hear everything. This place is horrible. When I went, the owner was even there. She was a complete snob. I heard her call her husband on the phone and actually YELL at him in front of all of the customers! This place is ridiculous. NEVER GO HERE!!! The services are sloppy and dirty and not worth even half of what they charge you.

Definitely overrated
Posted by melanie on 07/21/2006
It sounds like Frenchy's hasn't changed. I completely agree with Valerie's review from last December. It couldn't have been written any better. Frenchy's is definitely overrated. I went to Frenchy's several times in 2000 and left thinking it was such a waste. I went again recently for a bridal shower gathering and it hasn't changed for the better one bit. The waitlist isn't worth the wait. Go ahead and go, but only if you've got money to waste, and if you have never been to a salon in your life - at least then you won't be disappointed by comparing it to real salons.
