DESCRIPTION

Waterbabies will get their flippers all in a twist with all the services offered at Ummelina. Start with a foot bath, included in most packages, then move on to a variety of services designed for couples or singles. One involves going under a waterfall, another sprays down "sweet-smelling rain" and still another has a deep hot Japanese tub filled with aromatherapy extracts. It smells so good here, in fact, that you don't know if you should be getting beautiful or eating something delicious - but all products are natural, so it probably wouldn't hurt if you mixed them up. Luckily, the calm and courteous staff is on hand to guide you through the ultimate in relaxation and pampering processes, derived from "new and ancient healing rituals blended with state of the art technologies."

They don't do hair here, but you can get full-service facials, massage, waxing, manicures and pedicures - and soak up the serenity with a cup of custom-blended tea.

TIP: Every month, the spa offers specials - check out their Web site for more information.

Looking for a relaxing spa experience? Go elsewhere!1
Posted on 09/23/2009
I went to Ummelina based on a colleague's recommendation and to relax after a long week. I elected the Pacific Rim Journey for two hoping the promise of the description on the website would be fulfilled. It was not and instead I got a non-stop sales pitch throughout my services for their products and they tried to upsell me on services. I left frustrated and upset that I was paying $360 for their sales pitch. I contacted them to tell them and they defended their practice and gave me an empty apology. This was the worst spa experience I've ever had. I strongly suggest readers go elsewhere!

Lack of customer service1

I tried for 4 weeks to book a party of 6. After 2 weeks of ignored phone calls and voicemail, I finally got ahold of someone enough to have them tell me to email our info. After a week and a half of my ignored email, I called and complained to a manager. I told her that the 6 of us would take our business elsewhere. 2 weeks later, a manager calls me to let me know that their group booking therapist had left the company due to an emergency. She tried to book us, but I again told her that we'd take our business elsewhere. I work at a spa, so I am VERY familiar with how things work. Our #1 priority is our guests. If someone leaves the company, we have someone fill in for them. We NEVER ignore our guests or make them feel unwanted. Poor business.
