DESCRIPTION

Green Lake Jewelry is where the old and new worlds intersect. Artisans work on site to handcraft rings from gold and platinum. Meanwhile, customers search through an online database for ideas for their own rings. An artist might sketch out a design on a piece of paper, or just as likely, create a computer rendering. The result is a state-of the art process that never loses its human touch.

This is a place where you can really get creative. Gold comes in 14-, 18- and 20 karats; the staff can place colored stones and gems as an alternative to diamonds. And if you have your heart set on walking out with "a girl's best friend," know that the diamonds they use here are politically correct because they're Canadian.

TIP: You've got a guarantee that if you absolutely don't love your ring, you can have them modify, redesign it or start over from scratch for free.

My experience with GLJW has been nothing but excellent. My fiancee had my ring custom designed, and the designer was extremely helpful throughout the whole process. She even went so far as to send the designs to him overseas when he unexpectedly went out of the country, rather than delay the design process (and in turn the wedding proposal!). The ring turned out exactly as he envisioned, and I will cherish it for a lifetime.

My great ring!5

I just have to say that Green Lake Jewelry Works is great! I was looking for a custom piece, and I ended up with so much more. I worked with Melissa T, who was so helpful and accomodating, to create an antique setting for the diamond my grandmother passed down to me. They let me change my wax mold as many times as I needed , without charging me anything extra, until it was exactly how I wanted it to be. How great! Even though it took a little time to get it exactly how I wanted, it was worth it to know that i had made something so special around my grandma's stone that fit my style just right.
