DESCRIPTION
Artful creations, such as duxelles-stuffed, grape-leaf-wrapped chicken; halibut with tiny puff pastries in tarragon cream sauce; roasted pork with peaches; rack of lamb with cognac and plums; gorgeous house salad. Always very good, occasionally exceptional.

In terms of sophistication, seasonality, local ingredients and french flare, this place is tops. The food is divine. You pay for it - and they cadence the service mirroring what you'd find in Europe - so for a "genuine" european experience in a hip, cool atmsophere using Northwest and local / organic ingredients, Le Gourmand in Ballard is the spot.
