DESCRIPTION

This relatively new spa in Madison Valley is tops on my list. The friendly salon offers manicures, pedicures and waxing in a comfortable but polished environment. The light-filled beauty spot has a perfect corner location for watching the world outside or zoning out and relaxing inside. Butter-colored walls and honey-colored wood floors and manicure stations create a warm and inviting atmosphere.

They take pampering up a notch with three pedicure chairs that are surely the Cadillac of available models. These motorized leather chairs massage stressed backs and shoulders, and the foot bath temperature is adjustable so you don't have to experience cool water discomfort.

A Spa Pedicure takes almost an hour and includes a warm foot soak, cuticle removal, removal of unsightly calluses, a moisturizing foot and calf massage, nail shaping and polish. The cost for all this indulgence? Just $28. Girls, shop and compare! This deal is hard to beat. And, it stood up to the test of time and some serious wear and tear — I wore my pedicure to Egypt for three weeks, walking barefoot in the White Desert and in sand along the banks of the Nile with nary a chip.

Other options: For $23 you get all of the above in 40 minutes, the massage is shorter and you don't get to sit in the fancy chair. Get a combination spa pedicure and manicure (that includes massage and moisturizing) for a mere $40. Regular manicures are just $15. They also offer waxing services ranging from $15 for brows to $35 for a full leg wax.

Hoa Salon has earned a reputation as one of the best spa pedicure salons in Seattle. Their newly opened second location on Roosevelt is beautiful and spotless.

The staff was adorable and friendly. My feet are happy! Perfect for a girl's day out with a good friend. A little small for large groups or parties.

I made an appointment and they weren't able to see me until half an hour past my appt time - which was too late as I had other plans - so I never got my pedicure. They apologized but explained that they had taken a couple of people that didn't have appointments because she couldn't say no to them. I will not go back.
