Seattle Deli's banh mi is the best of both worlds -- a happy result of the French occupation of Vietnam. A banh mi (Vietnamese for "bread") is a short baguette slit lengthwise and made into a great cross-cultural sandwich.

I was just introduced to the banh mi - what an amazing sandwich, and in the $2.00 range. Well worth a little wait in line!
