Bastille Day, according to Entre Nous chef/owner Stephane Ohayon, is about more than French pride and independence. The native of Nice says the real reason his countrymen celebrate July 14 is because they have another day off from work (as if they didn’t have enough already with their 35-hour work week).

Should you ever find yourself in the great city of Chicago, I would suggest that you visit the John G. Shedd Aquarium, located adjacent to the Field Museum of Natural History. It's the second-largest indoor aquarium in the world (second to the Georgia Aquarium, which opened in 2005). Thousands of species of fish, mammals, birds and amphibians call the Shedd home, and you can easily spend a day gawking at them.
