Little Kids, Big City
While out on our rounds yesterday, Gub and I stopped at Kid's Club in University Village. I had been there before, but it was back in the days of newborn parenting, and my focus was narrow. This store really has it all, from toys to darling clothes, and from art supplies to strollers -- not to mention a great selection of baby-proofing supplies, feeding equipment and diapering stuff.

In honor of Super Tuesday, I'm checking in on the coyote poll. You know about the coyote, right? In early January, folks reported a little white-brown-gold number loping through Discovery Park, too brazenly for it's own good. Eventually, there were reports the coyote stalked walkers with small dogs, skittered across porches at nearby Navy housing, and severely injured a cat. This is the sort of behavior that can get an animal killed.

Gentle Snark
I find myself promoting shows at Kirsten Anderson's Roq la Rue Gallery fairly often. The reason for this is a basic one: The gallery puts up exceptional shows month after month, almost without fail. Every new exhibition is a feast of images to delight and disturb. Roq la Rue is responsible for some of my most wonderful nightmares and some of my most terrifying dreams.
