My dogs
have artistic temperaments -- that's how I explain their free spirits. A muse
or a drummer only they can see and hear inspires responses not strictly in the
program. So a First Thursday Art Walk in Pioneer Square featuring an
exhibit of dog-centered
art and photography in a dog-friendly space sounds like the perfect
opportunity to demonstrate their aesthetic sensitivity and to put to bed the
rumor that they are simply poorly trained.

Daily Find
The 1 1/2-year-old Greenwood store has just opened a second store in Roosevelt. In the new shop you'll find the same vintage T's and Western shirts ($6-$140), Levi's 501s ($15-$35), reconstructed denim skirts ($30-$40), sassy dresses ($75-$180) and perfectly worn cafe racer jackets ($80-$550). You'll also find tube socks, belts and plenty of black leather to finish off an outfit.

The small-plates trend has done us all a favor by reminding us that we don't need to fill our stomachs to the breaking point in order to feel satisfied by a meal. I have also sampled dishes I never would have tried had they been full-size, $17 entrees. Many of them have been adventurous works of gastronomical art that I'm richer for having eaten.
