Hop on out of the way Flopsy, Mopsy and, you too, Cottontail, Easter ain't the exclusive domain of rabbits anymore. On Saturday, March 22, Seattle Dog Magazine will host an Easter egg hunt engineered for treat-loving pups.

Gentle Snark
In the course of my job, I spend a fair amount of time completely avoiding my job. While I'm out of the office, I see things that might interest you: new shops and bars, old places that are making changes. In this super-special Gentle Snark feature -- which I hope to continue as often as I can flee my cubicle -- I'll share some of those sightings.

This Saturday brings the first bout of the Rat City Rollergirls' 2008 season,
and NWsource will be there with a vengeance. We're the presenting
sponsors, and half our crew will be in the crowd, chowing down on Skillet's
gourmet street food and cheering on Grave Danger, the Sockit Wenches,
the Throttle Rockets and the Derby Liberation Front. Advance tickets
are sold out, but there should be some tickets available at the door.
C'mon down and witness the carnage! And when it's over, visit NWsource
and show your love for your favorite Rat City Rollergirls team.

The next time your family is in the mood for
Mexican cuisine, consider taking a culinary detour farther south instead. Most Seattle parents are
familiar with the kid-friendly favorites of burritos, tacos, and rice and
beans, but they're less acquainted with other Latin American dishes, which offer a
different twist on some of the same ingredients.

Daily Find
The benefits of yoga are well documented -- better flexibility and
balance, a sense of calm and well-being, stronger, leaner limbs. But
for those of us who are not perfectly proportioned, the struggle to
find well-fitting yoga gear can be more difficult than a backbend --
and can make yoga's rewards seem out of reach.
