Little Kids, Big City
While at Sugarlump, a childrens' consignment shop in Madison Valley, a couple of days ago, I found what I think is the perfect jacket for little ones in Seattle. This little rain coat from GO!Globo looks common enough, but it features a post-consumer recycled plastic fleece lining, made from old PET bottles. More exciting for the user is the fact that it folds into itself to become a handy little backpack, so mom and dad aren't stuck carrying the thing when the weather warms up.

When it comes to oysters, it's all about geography. So here's a
geography lesson for you: The Pacific Northwest is heaven on a
half-shell. And heaven help me, I can't stop eating oysters: iced down,
straight up, their precious liquor intact, hold the condiments. Here's
a half-dozen oyster bars where you'll find me happily slurping the
goods.

Daily Find
At Max and Quinn's Atomic Boys Shop-O-Rama, it's highly possible that you'll find your
favorite childhood candy. The store is stocked with oldies but goodies
like Sky Bars, the aforementioned Candy Buttons (both 99cents ) and
bubblegum cigarettes (50 cents to $1.25), and each confection is
accompanied by a small sign that tells its history.
