Gentle Snark
DeVotchKa plays the Showbox Sodo on May 3. They're quite the hot item these days, being Grammy-nominated and all, and if tickets don't sell out well in advance of show day they'll surely sell out night-of. If you don't get tickets, you should go down there anyway and hope for the best. Maybe even put an ear to the wall and feel the warmth of the high desert coming through it.

I'm beginning to feel like a bird brain. By that, I mean, I have been learning so much about the Seattle bird scene, I'm fairly busting with it. (I should say that the pejorative term "bird brain" needs to be under serious reconsideration as
science learns how sophisticated that tiny processor actually is.)

Daily Find
Last week, my mom brought home bags upon bags of tulip bulbs. She admitted that it isn't the right time to plant them, but they were on sale so she bought a bazillion of them. Spring has a way of inspiring green thumbs, and even inexperienced gardeners find themselves yearning to nurture nature.
