Okay, class, are you ready to write? Ready your pencils. 3-2-1 ... Wait, did put on your anti-gravity suit? This week, my daughter's class took a trip to space - the space of 826 Seattle, also known as Greenwood Space Supply Company. It's hard to out-odd Archie McPhee, but the Space Supply ties together writing workshops and really weird alien gear.

Ballard's newest boutique, Asher Anson, has many things going for it -- not the least of which is its location. It's situated in the old Ben and Jerry's space, smack dab in the middle of Market Street, the perfect spot from which to lure style-conscious Ballardites on their way to a cupcake, coffee or a movie.
