I first heard of Swedish superstore H&M after spying one of their stylish yet inexpensive tops in Lucky magazine. I googled the store, and discovered that there were even more cute-but-cheap clothes where that shirt came from.
Unfortunately, with neither a location near me, nor the availability of H&M merchandise online, I was stymied from joining the legions of H&M faithful. So I vowed to visit a store just as soon as I traveled either east of the Mississippi or to Europe, whichever came first.

In late January 2000, Pacific Northwest magazine profiled
lifelong Georgetown resident Jon Dove, that year's grand-prize winner
of the Arboretum Foundation's Pacific Northwest Garden contest. The
garden of his towering 1905 home was resplendent with lush foliage,
prolific roses and an onion-dome-shaped privet. Now Dove and more than 20 of his neighbors are busily sprucing up their gardens for the 13th annual Georgetown Art and Garden Walk, which takes place Sunday, July 13.

I lived downtown for years and while it was great to have the Pike
Place Market in my backyard, there was really no place to shop for
regular grocery items like ketchup or aluminum foil. The newly opened Kress IGA Supermarket is out to change all that.

Seattle boasts quite a few talented clothing designers, and Ballard resident Beki Wilson is among them. Her Out of Line summer collection, as well as several new pieces, will be available during an evening trunk show June 26 from 6 to 9 p.m. at Bouncing Wall on Queen Anne.

There is a group on Facebook called "I Don't Care How Comfortable Crocs Are, You Look Like A Dumbass." There are 863,583 members. This hurts my feelings a little, because I am an avid Croc wearer, as is my husband and my little girl. They're perfect for gardening and for slipping on to run to the store. And darn it, they are comfortable.
