well-established salon from a supervised stylist in training -- for free. The model
gets a great cut and color she might not have otherwise been able to afford,
and the budding stylist gets a chance to build clientele (along with his chops).

love candles, but when looking for new ones, I usually end up with a splitting
headache. Because with shopping comes sniffing, and after a while, the
synthetic fragrance oils and harsh artificial scents used in many candles cause
my olfactory senses to revolt. But
on a recent visit to the Ballard Sunday Farmers Market, I discovered Ascents
Candle Company, whose 100 percent palm-wax
candles left me headache-free.

apartment buildings in Broadview, the weathered storefront doesn't exactly give
a ringing endorsement to what's inside. Which, to paraphrase the two-year-old
store's motto, includes new and "experienced" home and clothing
"solutions."
