Canadian cosmetics company Cargo, known mostly for their metal tins filled with dewy lip gloss, is branching out into the gardening world with a new line of lipsticks. PlantLove sheer and glossy lipsticks ($20 each) arrive in a carton made of flower paper that is embedded with wildflower seeds. You simply moisten the box, plant it in a sunny spot and watch the wildflowers grow.

My love of paper goods is no secret, and not since Swee Swee Paperie opened in West Seattle more than a year ago have I been so smitten with a local card shop. The new object of my affection is Paper Delights, a delightful new stationery and party shop in Wallingford.

When I hear the term "haberdasher," I envision dapper old British men on Saville Row. But I discovered recently that Seattle has its very own haberdasher in Jeff Collins, and he is neither British nor old. The 36-year-old Mill Creek native has been designing men's custom and ready-to-wear attire for the past decade.
