South Lake Union's new urban dwellings pack a lot of style into very little square footage. The same can be said of Clover House, a home furnishings, plant and gift shop that opened last month to serve the neighborhood's urbane inhabitants.

If Seattle smells sweeter these days, we have Burien to thank. That South End city is no longer home to bath and body boutique Sweet Petula, which moved to Madison Valley last month, but it is where owner Cory Smith still makes the store's aromatic candles, soaps, lotions and sea salts.

with a historic moniker and an urbane leather journal that begs to
travel.

Below are the salted caramels on offer at the Queen Anne shop, along with a more of our favorite locally available salty-sweet treats.
