I'm a sucker for a bake sale. Throw in a car wash, a raffle and adorable beneficiaries (ferrets!) and you've given me a reason to cross Lake Washington -- even at current gas prices.

On a predicted-to-be-sunny Saturday, perfect for shiny chrome, Washington Ferret Rescue and Shelter (WFRS) will host just such a triple-threat fundraiser. Proceeds benefit the all-volunteer, donation-funded, no-kill ferret shelter in Kirkland.
