In a refreshing change from the usual car washes and bake sales that typically comprise school fund raisers, the class of 2009 at West Seattle High School has put together, for the second year in a row, the Pet Rodeo and Snooty Walk. This year's event will be held Saturday, April 19 at Hiawatha Playfield.
Starting at 2 p.m., for $10, pet owners can come and register their animal friends in various events, such as "drooliest" and "best dancer." The next two hours will be a crazy showdown in both standard and funny categories, with a planned 3:30 p.m. Snooty Walk in which all the participants will be able to strut their stuff. Prizes will be awarded, and with sponsors such as Husky Deli, Mud Bay and VCA Animal Hospitals, there should be some good stuff.
Check out the event's Web site, and get your pets in gear!

Post a commentI can't wait for this event! I went last year, and it was so much fun. Between rubbing elbows with the celebs and watching cute pups and little kids run around, it's not to be missed. I heard they're doing even more fun things this year. See you all there! Devoted Pet Owner
This event was a lot of fun last year. Though my dog-Randy-didn't win anything, its great to see the class of 2009 come back with even stronger events. Im excited for Best Dancer. Plus the best thing is, all the money they raise go towards the classes graduation and prom.
