I'm not a big fan of wearing my heart on my chest, but if I chose to proclaim my true love on a T-shirt, here is what it might say:
  • "Big is my homeboy."
  • "What would Carrie do?"
  • "I can has Manolos."
  • "Vote for Stanford."
  • "I Heart Smith."

All, of course, are sentiments inspired by "Sex and the City," a show I so adore that I once spent an entire New Year's Eve watching the second half of the sixth season. I peed my pants when Miranda's cat, Fatty, made off with her baby's belly button and I cried my eyes out when a betrayed and bereft Aidan wailed to Carrie, "You broke my heart!"

Now, you might say that I'm panhandling on the corner of Superficial and Desperately Clinging to the Past -- and you may be right. But get two Cosmos in me, darlin', and I am pole dancing on the corner of Fabulous and Kiss My Ass. And there I will stay until May 30, when the "Sex and the City" movie arrives in Seattle.

You know what, though? It's a crowded corner, and there are some skinny bitches with sharp elbows up in here. Fortunately, I know something they don't: Friday (May 16) at noon, Seattle's most fabulous cinema (translation: a movie theater that serves cocktails), Big Picture, will begin selling tickets to "Sex and the City" for showtimes through June 15.

You must show up to the box office in person, you must be 21 or older and you can't buy more than 10 tickets. Showtimes for opening day are 11:30 a.m., 2:30 p.m., 5:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. Tickets are $10.

In other "Sex and the City" news, El Gaucho will host a party June 4 with the hosts of local radio show "Chat with Women." (The same party is scheduled for June 5, but is already sold out.)

Cosmos and appetizers at the Pampas Room will be followed by a screening of "Sex and the City" at Big Picture. The evening also includes a gift bag and a special room rate at The Inn at El Gaucho of $165. The party begins at 5:30 p.m. and costs $85 per person. Call 206-728-1337 for reservations.

Can't wait until May 30 to talk about "Sex"? Visit our forum and talk to us about your favorite "Sex and the City" scenes, your plans for opening night or the local bartender who mixes the Cosmo of your dreams.

Scratch that. Just tell us about the bartender of your dreams.
