Who would have thought that the saga of a hash-slinging trailer would have more twists and turns than a Talladega night? The latest dispatch from Skillet, the mobile kitchen that serves up superior street food from a restored Airstream, is that the company has temporarily shut down while it waits for a Health Department permit.

If you haven't been following the Skillet story, here's what you need to know: The street-food vendor, which serves freakin' phenomenal hot breakfasts and lunches from various Seattle parking lots, was open, then closed, then open again, then closed again.

But owners Josh Anderson and Danny Sizemore say it's just a bump in the road, and (fingers crossed) they're probably right. After all, if the Health Department is willing to keep re-opening the Broadway Jack in the Box, how can they possibly put the kibosh on Skillet?
