Favorite parks with kids?

Earlier this week, I blogged about outdoor activities for families. The focus there was on urban wildlife exploration for kids, but I didn't cover specific parks that much. So I thought I'd ask you: What are your favorite parks in Seattle, and why?

What is your favorite playground? Picnic spot? Wildlife area? Beach? Playfield?

Where is the best spot to meet other families -- or the best place to avoid them? Best park for a rainy day or a scorching one (ha!)? Best spot to spot Spot? Or best spot for puppy-phobes, like my own toddler?

Today is far from warm, but let's start planning our spring outings!

Juanita Beach is fantastic. It's proximity to the lake, along with playground and surrounding amenities make it a must visit.

I really like Magnuson Park. It has a biog playground, dog park, it's right on the lake and it is great if you want to take a long walk:)

Seward Park, by my house, but don't tell anyone about it!

We like Point Defiance Park... lots of walking trails, (even ones the young ones can do) the beach, good playgrounds... and if you want... the Zoo! :) My hubby took me there as a date for a picnic/bbq... it's good for that kinda stuff too!
