How much does "Iron Man" rule?

No, seriously, how much does it rule? Remember that one totally radical bit where Robert Downey Jr. puts on the armored suit and (CUT FOR SPOILERS), and the audience is, like, "Yeah! That's the most awesome thing ever!" Wasn't that bitchin' in the extreme? Dude, I totally fell out! I wept tears of joy.

What did you think, moviegoer? Is "Iron Man" the greatest thing ever to happen to the superhero genre, or simply "Less Than Zero" with a heavier armament?

"Iron Man" is so good that it made me want to drop my defenses and just yield to my inner comic-book geek. People actually cheered for the trailers at the 12:50 p.m. Saturday Cinerama screening (during opening weekend). And maybe it was just the "Iron Man" excitement getting to me, but I actually want to see every last film they advertised. Robert Downey Jr. should win an Academy Award for Awesomeness in a Leading Role. Dude. "Iron Man" rules supreme.
