Welcome to the Music & Nightlife forum
Hey, thanks for stopping by the NWsource forum, where the folks are friendly, the conversation is lively and the drinks are cheap. Oops, sorry, wrong place.
Nonetheless, just like a good local watering hole, this forum is a good spot to meet other Seattleites, share ideas and opinions, recommend or defend your favorites and generally hold forth about whatever's on your mind.
There's no bouncer around here, and we don't require shoes or shirt to enter, but there are a couple of rules: One, don't be mean. Two, don't post ads. We've got classifieds for that. If you have any questions about what's OK and what isn't, check out our Terms of Service.
We'll drop in occasionally to see how you're doing, and if you have questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us. We'll do whatever we can to help. Cheers!

Post a commentBig noise is afoot this weekend with the Honk! Fest West--a conglomeration/workshop/showcase and just plain' old celebration of Do It Yourself parade bands and marching music. The events opens Friday and runs through Sunday in seven different venues in Seattle. Among the bands featured is the Carnival Band of Vancouver BC, Seattle's own Antifascist Marching Band, and the internationally-famous Raging Grannies. I'm planning to hit up at least three shows this weekend--more about festival here:

Tickets will go on sale via www.LiveNation.com beginning Friday or Saturday, depending on the market.
