Starlite Lounge
GEOFF CARTER / NWSOURCE
Need a shot of Las Vegas style? Head to the Starlite Lounge.

Belltown pubs and clubs
Belltown! It used to be artsy, now it's mostly packed with yuppies living in pricey condo boxes — but there's still plenty of fun to be had! Why do you think it's so hard to park down there?
Amber
Just inside Amber's door, at the corner of Belltown's First Avenue and Blanchard, is its main draw: the bar -- a continent-sized liquid theme park crafted in thick African Bubinga wood.
Belltown Pizza
It's dark, the beer is cheap and the pizza is really, really good.
Black Bottle
Black Bottle has a wonderful selection of top-shelf booze at prices that won't break you, and serves one of the best freaking desserts in Belltown.
Brasa
It's totally upscale and a little on the pretentious side, but the food is great and the drinks strong. Best during happy hour if you're pinching pennies.
Cyclops
Here's where the beautiful tattooed set goes. The fancy well drinks are strong and the food's good too, if a tad steep.
Del Rey
Del Rey has all your wants and desires expertly covered: The bar is softly lit and inviting; the selection of scotches and tequilas is beyond respectable; and the sprawling menu includes prawn ceviche, grilled chicken, gooey mac 'n' cheese and more.
Dimitriou's Jazz Alley
Seattle's premier jazz club really delivers the goods.
Frontier Room
This is a good place to hang out with a big group of pals. And yes, it's smoky, but there's sexy crushed velvet furniture to sit on.
Karma Martini Lounge
If you can't stand listening to young couples talking about waterfront revitalization and hybrid cars, there are other places to go. But if you're looking for that Belltown chic experience, Karma offers it in its more pure state.
Lava Lounge
Want to nab a cold beer and chat with friends? The Lava Lounge has some of Seattle's best and most accessible DJs. It's a good place to unwind or meet folks before eating nearby.
Mama's Mexican Kitchen
Enjoy killer margaritas, rib-sticking Mexican platters and street-side seating right in the heart of Belltown.
Palace Kitchen
Here, international influences, dramatic presentations, superb seasonal ingredients and creative accompaniments define Northwest cuisine.
Rendezvous
This 80-year-old mainstay feels old and decaying — in a good way. The bartenders pour strong, a full menu is available, and its JewelBox Theater regularly hosts film screenings, burlesque shows and more.
Shorty's Coney Island
The circus-midway-slash-dive-bar vibe is identical to Las Vegas' Circus Circus, Shorty's hot dogs every bit as tasty, the "Hangover Special" cheap and the carnival décor witty.
Tavolata
Tavolata in Belltown serves simple, rustic Italian fare: everything from house-made pastas to octopus salad and a hefty, delicious T-bone.
Tia Lou's
This Mexican restaurant is a little trendy, but lots of fun. The spacious joint has great appetizers, stiff drinks and you can hang out in the relaxing enclosed patio.
Two Bells Bar & Grill
A Seattle establishment with great food, plenty of actual locals (including the last remaining artists) and a low-key atmosphere. A far cry from the meat markets on First, it's the last true "neighborhood" bar in the area.
The Whisky Bar
Rarely has a bar's name been quite so apt: This is a bar for people who like to drink, though it also has charms for swingin' singles, lovers of dive bars and the hipster fringe. Check out the oil paintings on its walls, by brilliant local artist Ethan Harrington.
