I don’t usually splurge on clothes for my toddler -- she’s a rough-and-tumble little lady who wears her clothes (and me) right out. But I think that my mom and mother-in-law live to buy cute outfits for her, so I let them shop their hearts out while I stock her drawers with jeans and T-shirts from Value Village.
I do, however, make an exception to my frugal toddler shopping habits when it comes to the Tea [1] brand of infant and kids' clothing. I love everything they design and have made sure that my little miss always has at least one of their outfits to wear for special events.
Tea is great because they coordinate their collections, allowing you to mix and match the tops and bottoms. Each season the Tea designers are inspired by a different region of the world, and each employee gets a yearly allowance to use towards international travel to broaden their horizons and experience new cultures. How awesome is that? The spring/summer collection is inspired by the color palette of Brazil, with lush, tropical colors like peacock, aqua, cilantro and deep red.
Georgia Blu [2] is hosting the first ever Seattle-area Tea trunk show on Saturday, May 16 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Every piece from the current collection will be at the store for you to experience. Place an order that day and receive 15 percent off your purchase, which will be available for you to pick up at Georgia Blu the following week.
I'm told that there will be treat and giveaways as well. Tempting, very tempting.
