Beginning June 25, the Cascade neighborhood will have a farmers market [1] to call its own. The market will convene Thursdays through Sept. 24 from 3 to 7 p.m., just east of the Cascade Park Playground on Pontius Avenue between Thomas and Harrison streets.
According to the Cascade Farmers Market Web site, the organization's mission is to:
- Provide healthy, fresh food to the South Lake Union community.
- Provide direct economic linkages between local farmers and the community.
- Facilitate social connections and relationships in all sectors of the community.
