Gather in Columbia City gets consignment just right

By Alison Brownrigg

Columbia City residents Dan Walter and Megan McCabe have taken over the Gather space at 4863 Rainier Ave. S. and converted the former gallery into a refreshing and colorful consignment boutique.

Gather carries consigned women’s clothing and an astonishingly cool selection of distinctive home accessories. On a recent visit I spied some great aluminum chairs for $112 each, worth the price for a pair of completely unique pieces for your home.

Walter and McCabe look for women’s clothes that are current, stylish and in great condition. I saw everything from work-appropriate Banana Republic skirts to a shimmering gold dress dying for a night out on the town. Prices are extremely reasonable; that gold dress was $18.

Consignment terms are standard: 40 percent paid out by check, or 50 percent in store credit. If you're interested in consigning, make an appointment by calling Gather at 206-760-0674.
