Weekly find: A fortunate year for your lucky dog

What awaits your best friend in this Year of the Dog [1]? One way to find out is to pick up Year of the Dog fortune cookies by Bodhi, from Kobo at Higo [1]. Each of these crunchy, cinnamon-y sugar-free treats contains a fortune for your furry buddy. Kobo owner Binko Chiong-Bisbee did a taste test herself: "They're pretty good, but not very sweet. They're really for dogs," she says. 2006 is especially auspicious for pups born this year, or dogs born in 1922, 1934, 1946, 1958, 1970, 1982, and 1994. Dogs (and people) born in these years are honest, trustworthy, generous, sincere, loyal and work well with others. Single cookies are $2.75 and a carton of 12 are $26. The shop also has greeting cards with the adorable pug, Iggy, in Mandarin dress — six for $18. Net proceeds from card sales benefit the Best Friends Animal Sanctuary in Utah.
