Lovers of Stanley Kubrick's trippy 1968 masterpiece will want to listen up, even if they've seen "2001" many, many times. Cinerama is screening a 70-millimeter print of the film, which means that every detail of the (intentionally) claustrophobic cinematography and Kubrickian color scheme will appear much crisper and clearer than usual. And of course there's nothing like seeing an existential sci-fi epic on a screen as large as a small planet. "2001" screens Sunday, Feb. 3, at high noon.
