Weekend Highlights for March 20-23

Eggs, Rats and a Monkey

By Geoff Carter

NWsource staff

This Saturday brings the first bout of the Rat City Rollergirls' 2008 season [0], and NWsource will be there with a vengeance. We're the presenting sponsors, and half our crew will be in the crowd, chowing down on Skillet [0]'s gourmet street food and cheering on Grave Danger, the Sockit Wenches, the Throttle Rockets and the Derby Liberation Front. Advance tickets are sold out, but there should be some tickets available at the door. C'mon down and witness the carnage! And when it's over, visit NWsource and show your love for your favorite Rat City Rollergirls team [0].

Music
The Boredoms [0]
The Boredoms' punky electro-thrash is too harsh for casual listening, but onstage this energetic (and somewhat psychotic) Japanese band is absolutely enthralling.

Easter egg hunts [0]
Thousands of brightly colored eggs are hiding in the tall grass. They think they're smart and they'll never be found. Oh, foolish albumen. Let your kids show those egg-heads who's boss.

Enjoy pan-fried sweet-and-sour bass, curry chicken, spicy baguette sandwiches and lots of tasty pho at this new Vietnamese restaurant in Ballard. Save room for coconut ice cream.
