In a refreshing change from the usual car washes and bake sales that typically comprise school fund raisers, the class of 2009 at West Seattle High School has put together, for the second year in a row, the Pet Rodeo and Snooty Walk. This year's event will be held Saturday, April 19 at Hiawatha Playfield.
Starting at 2 p.m., for $10, pet owners can come and register their animal friends in various events, such as "drooliest" and "best dancer." The next two hours will be a crazy showdown in both standard and funny categories, with a planned 3:30 p.m. Snooty Walk in which all the participants will be able to strut their stuff. Prizes will be awarded, and with sponsors such as Husky Deli [1], Mud Bay [2] and VCA Animal Hospitals, there should be some good stuff.
